  • Incredibly beautiful, though not completely original

This score will be no surprise to collectors of James Horner's work. There is an inspiring, gentle main theme, and a few simple secondary motifs and themes that carry the listener through the album. There are generous borrowings from other Horner scores such as Braveheart and Searching For Bobby Fisher, but the music is emotive and gorgeous none the less. If I was unaware of Horner's similar, prior film scores, I would rate Bicentennial Man a five star classic. It does stand at a strong four star effort due to the fantastic listenability and replay value. Highly recommended, with reservations for those who have an issue with reuse or "developing themes", to put it more kindly.

This album opened my ears eyes and heart to what I believe is the best kind of music thus far in the world. It encourages and inspires me every time I hear it! Please make more like it!

One of the best scores I heard from him!! The instrumentals are divine with a touch of heartwarming that the movie portrays. And am I the only one that thinks Celine dion is so overrated. Her voice annoying. Sorry just had to say it.

This is hands down my favorite score I have ever heard come out of James Horner. The themes are so heartbreaking and beautiful you'll want to put this on repeat. As with most of Horner's scores, he does take a bit of this and that from previous films. It is done so beautifully, however, you won't even care. There is also an excellent song at the end that reunites Horner with Celine Dion. The song wasn't as popular as "My Heart Will Go On" but every bit as impressive. I recommend!

First off, I love James Horner. Second, everytime I see this movie, the instrumentals bring me to tears. Besides Mrs. Dion's song, the instrumentals on this album really capture the many emotional scenes in the movie. I recommend the entire album. No one can create music like James Horner.

I truely enjoy the ORIGINAL motion pitcure soundtrack genre. Horner has cemented his place among the greats in this field, Williams, Barry, and Goldsmith. The movie and the score are outstanding.

Is it searching for bobby fisher? is it a beautiful mind, or is it sneakers, my head hurts, which is which, i know it is all of the above wrapped into one. IT is that wacky loveable james CRAP horner music. He steals from HIM, Williams, Goldsmith, Barry, and every dead classical composer. That is horner.
