  • Loved Sharing This With my Kids

Like a time machine to my youth...we were shown this multiple times in grade school in the 70’s. I loved that my kids liked it as much as I had 30 years prior!

I remember listening to this old record during my kindergarten days, and I have this classic album on CD. All these songs, poems, and stories in this collection have a way of showing diversity and freedom of expression. I would definitely recommend this classic album to all the young and the young at heart.

The remix of the songs is not needed. Please re-release the original version of the album. If it is not possible, can I get a refund?

I grew up loving this and can recite the whole album word for word. It is part of who I am and has influenced my view of the world and how I see myself in it. It affected how I have parented MY children. I am SO happy to see it here and to buy this copy. If you also like this music, read or listen to the audible version of Lean In to continue the wisdom of FTBYAM.
  • Still Love This

I listened to this incessantly as a child, and grew up to be an IT manager who shares this music with friends on a regular basis. The messages are so positive, and still relevant. Sure, it's a little cheesy in spots, but it's full of love and hope and smart sayings, from "it's all right to cry" to "some kind of help is the kind of help we all could do without".

Worth purchasing. I originally bought the CD years ago for $17.99 and it was worth it. The songs and stories are wonderful and for all age groups! They are all still relevant today. It's timeless!

Wore my LP into the ground, then the cassette. Missed getting the CD, so I was bummed not being able to introduce my girls to these songs and stories. So glad to find it here. Now to find Free to Be...a Family. Hopefully will be here eventually. As for those wanting the Jackson version. This is from 72, not early 80's. Don't judge the whole album by your disappointment over one song.

I remember my parents driving me all over town in 1972 to find a record store that had this album. I was in second grade and it seemed like we sang songs from this record every day in music class. Michael Jackson and Roberta Flack's version of "When We Grow Up" came a few years later for the video. That's why it was not on the record.

Grew up with this album. Now I love to listen to it with little ones. A great group of good songs and even better lessons!

I listened to this as child, then my kids listened to it, now I am giving to my step-grandkids. Still a great album!
