I first heard this song played by Casey James at the Keys Lounge. Terrific blues interpretation. Sultry and sexy...., check out Casey's version!

I love this guitarist. He was great live which few can do. Wish more people played like him.

this is certainly a good sample of the young guitarist. my only problem with it is he is so overrated. he is good but he isnt unique. maybe im too picky because im from memphis, where you can walk down the street and here just as good a blues player smokin a doob in his garage and playin his soul straight through the guitar. but he does not bring anything new or original with his obvious skills as a musician. hate to knock KWS but dont be deceived, this is not spectacular.

One of the best guitarists in history. Blends rock and blues very well. Great job on "Midnight Rider". Is a great live performer, and Noah Hunt on vocals is spot on. Hope to hear more of KWS with Noah on vocals in the near future.
  • Great Live KWS!!

This EP captures KWS in top form--thankfully all four cuts feature Noah instead of KWS himself on vocals. Good move--KWS ripping it up on guitar and Noah belting it out on vocals--now there's a combination you can't beat! Hopefully his next studio album will feature the same separation of duties. Kenny is not much of a lead singer compared to Noah. OK, enough griping. This EP has top-notch sound quality! The best sounding live tracks I have EVER heard! As another reviewer mentioned--I sure wish this was a full length CD, or better yet, DVD! One of the tracks does sound like a studio cut, though--Midnight Rider. GREAT VERSION OF THIS SONG! Gregg Allman would be impressed for sure! KEEP IT UP, KENNY WAYNE!!!!!

kenny proved long ago that he could play and in this live setting he doesn't hold back. starts with a blistering version of king's highway, a nice cover of midnight rider, then into one orf his best somewhere, somehow, someway. shotgun blues is a great ending to this sampler which proves to me that kws is one of the finest young guitarists in the world and continues to get better.

These four songs were played at KWS's last gig in Shreveport. He really kicks it up for his home town crowd! Better live than studio versions.

YES!!! KWS LIVE!!! If only it wasn't an EP! If you've ever seen him live( or just like his music), get this! Kenny shows his chops! Shotgun Blues is the "Kid" (man) at his amazing best.
