What happened guys? They’re turning into another upbeat pop band! Simple lyrics. My personal favorite album was blurryface. This is nothing compared to the other albums.

I’ve read the reviews and a lot of them are negative but they don’t know the storyline behind this album.I’ve only seen one other person that mentioned that Scaled and Icy is anagram for “Clancy is Dead.” If u know who Clancy is then this should be easy for u to understand. If Clancy is dead and SIA is propaganda as earlier hinted by Clancy before he died then Nico and The Niners weren’t in control at the time of the written so dang but they are now so my takeaways from this album is that Tyler is not himself (also hinted in the livestream performance) and that DEMA is controlling the way he acts and talks and sings. Tyler shows this by singing “I lost my wife and child but I know it’s hard to believe me it’s a good day” in the first song Good Day. Any dad would want to keep their child whatever the cost. Tyler is being controlled by DEMA

I’m giving this five stars contrary to my review so it gets read. Scaled and Icy is mixed with some mellow alt with a hard shake of pop. It’s nothing like their other albums, for example. Blurry face is a hardcore mix of alt rock and rap and ofc most of their songs have an electronic fun beat to them. In my opinion-Vessel is their most unique album mixing pop, alt rock, rap, acoustic back ground beats and just fun songs to listen to. Not a single song on the album is the same as the other, every song has its own unique sounds and the lyrics unlike some other artists songs, aren't dry and empty. They hold meaning behind them jabbing and poking at the brain and the heart. All I’m trying to say here is 1. It’s a little to pop-ish for me it feels like their trying to conform with the music of today. It’s like they are losing what makes them-them, their uniqueness of being themselves and not others. 2. Almost all the songs on this album sound the same and unlike Vessel, they don’t carry that emotional punch to the heart and soul. And 3. I love this band so I write this review with love, don’t think I’m trashing the bands. All bands make a bad album now and then, but until Scaled and Icy, they hadn’t made a single bad album. I hope you make more albums like Vessel in the future and I wish you good luck I honestly don’t think this’ll ever reach y’all but one can hope. Love you guys!

I’ve been listening to Twenty one pilots for about 9-10 years now with my all time favorite album being blurryface. Blurryface had all of Tyler’s feelings put into his songs which is what I love about his music because it’s something you don’t see in modern bands that much anymore or really at all. When I first listened to Stressed Out I was touched and listened to the rest of the album and fell in love with their music. Yet over time I did stray away and listened to more rock bands and stopped listening to them for a few years and recently when I came back to them and listened to some of their new songs a was disappointed that their straying away from what made them great. They made their songs of mixture of many other genres (don’t know if I spelt that right) but now they are heading towards your generic pop and rap and I have to say in all honesty I don’t like generic pop or rap because there isn’t any meaning, or clear meaning to it. Now not all of their new songs are bad like Level of Concern or Jonny Boy, those aren’t bad and I listen to them a good bit. What I’m saying is that Twenty One Pilots are moving away from what made them great and different and I would like to see them go back to what they were. By: StormerWindfall

I get going for something more fun and laid back, I get that and love that. But does that always produce a project thats noteworthy? Not quite. Decent album, not their best. Disappointing follow-up to Trench. I didn’t expect it to be as good as Trench, but didn’t expect it to be one of their most lackluster albums.
